CAPA has been increasingly involved in contributing to the global plan to reduce HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria by evolving appropriate strategies and activities across her Provinces and Dioceses in order to respond to the needs of her communities in light of these epidemics. The Anglican Church in Africa, being a caring Church in a hurting world, has developed this Strategic plan II (2007- 2011) with the goal to scale - up CAPA's response in contributing to the global reduction of TB, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Poverty as well as promote Gender Equity in socio - economic development in Africa.
This desk study was designed purposely to document the work that CAPA has been involved in during the 2001- 2005 period. It provides an opportunity to not only document for future reference purposes but also to inform on-going interventions on the realties and contexts on the ground.
This manual as been designed to assist church communities to embark upon their own HIV/AIDS planning. It is hoped that the step by step planning model outlined in this document will provide an accessible planning framework to support the ongoing HIV/AIDS activities of Anglican communities
